Faced with the increasing pressure, more and more people choose to take a trip on holiday so as to get rid of the harsh reality. However, how to make a reasonable budget before the trip is sometimes a big headache. After all, we are not as rich as millionaires that can enjoy the luxurious journeys every now and then.
Here I have some suggestions that can make your trip more economical without sacrificing too much fun. Before we find out the way to reduce your expense, I think we need to define the purpose of taking a trip. As I have mentioned above, the purpose is to get rid of the pressure and relax ourselves. So if the expenditure of the trip becomes another source of the pressure, we might give it up as well. And there’s another point we must make clear: the purse of the trip being pleasure doesn’t necessarily mean that the trip itself is pleasant. Every significant trip can be regarded as an adventure in which you see something new, something different and your horizon is broadened.
Now if you agree with me, you can follow my suggestions. First of all, pay more attention to the feelings inside your heart when you are taking a trip. Some people completely focus on their destinations. The moment they arrive at a scenic spot, they take photos to prove that they have been there. They act as if the only purpose of the trip is to take photos. These people can never slow down their pace to appreciate the beauty of the place. The problem is that if you are such kind of traveller, you’ll never reduce your expense because you always want to go to the famous place while these places are generally expensive.
Only when you have the adventurous sprit can you really enjoy the beauty of nature and realize the core meaning of the trip. My friend Jack once told me his wonderful experience. One Friday afternoon he was really frustrated after a week’s work, and suddenly he got an idea. He went straightly to the railway station and bought a ticket even without knowing the destination. The train finally brought him to a small town that he had never been to.
However, as soon as he steps into the town, he was touched by the peace and quietness of the small town. He went into a small hotel, and stayed in the town for the whole weekend. “I’m refreshed.” That was what he exactly said about the journey.
