In summer, with the hot weather, you may want to take a cool shower, and the fact is that you can have bath at any time if you want. But in winter, with the cold weather, you would never try to have a bath when the feeling or the idea occurs to you. According to some experts, we should know that we had better not take shower everyday in winter. But to some people, if the habit of having bath everyday is difficult to change, they should pay much attention to the skills of bathing.
The most appropriate temperature of bathing water is from 24 to 29 ℃. With too high temperature, the oil on the surface of skin is easy to damage; skin is more likely to be dry, which will not only bring destruction about skin, but also increase the burden on heart. In addition, the bathing time should be properly controlled.
The best sequence of bath in winter: in winter, people will open the tap and take shower immediately, which seems very simple and comfortable. But in winter, you can never try to do such thing. The reason is the skin temperature is often lower than the water, while the bathing water in winter is hotter than that in summer, the abrupt hot water will lead to sudden cardiac stress. So you had better wet your feet first so as make them adjust to the water temperature. Then you can gradually splash water onto your body and start bathing. In addition, no matter you take a shower or have bath in a tub, you had better make the time fewer than ten minutes. One of the reasons is to avoid catching cold; the other is to decrease the possibility of skin’s exposure to the low-temperature air so as to reduce the opportunities of wrinkled skin.
The most appropriate frequency of bathing in winter: because of the change of work needs or lifestyles or living habits, many people are accustomed to have a bath or two every day. But with the approach of winter, the air becomes drier and drier, itchy skin starts to trouble those people. Some of them think the reason is they have no bathed cleanly and properly, so the bathing frequency is on increase, but itchy skin becomes more serious. According to the medical experts, frequent bathing will hurt the skin, in winter people should take bath for twice or three times a week.
